One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle

One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle is a beautiful novel about a woman in search of herself while grieving the loss of her mother.  Much of the novel takes place in the breathtakingly beautiful cliffside village of Positano on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.  The following locations that were included in the novel can be visited. Hotel Poseidon – The Hotel Poseidon is the charming  hotel where Katy stays.  The author first thought about writing the novel while a guest of the hotel.

Le Sirenuse – Le Sirenuse is the hotel that Adam would like to invest in. It is probably the most famous and glamorous hotel in Positano.  

Chez Black  – Chez Black is an iconic restaurant on the beach in Positano 

La Tagliata – A restaurant on the hill with a view of all of Positano. There are no menus at La Tagliata, you are served whatever is on the day’s menu.

Church of Santa Maria Assunta    This church, with it’s colorful majolica-tiled dome, is one most photographed sights in Positano It is located in the center of Positano near the Marina Grande Beach.

Path of the Gods  – Katy hikes with both Carol and Adam on  the Path of the Gods. The path has one of the most beautiful views, including the island of Capri .

Capri and the Faraglioni. Katy and Adam visited Capri and the Faraglioni Rocks.  Ferry Boats run many times a day from the docks of Positano to Capri.  You can also hire a private boat.
